Powerful enough to protect and support large commercial and industrial establishments. The Heavy Duty UPS range is your go to power back up option.
Anyone who needs to run High Capacity Loads where generators are being used, can run the same load on the Heavy Duty UPS too. There is a misconception that Generators can’t be replaced with the UPS. However, our Heavy-Duty UPS range is being used in almost every industry, from the hospital industry, to the IT industry. Our single phase power backup solutions are available from 6.5KVA to 15KVA range.
A Heavy-Duty UPS runs loads from 10KVA to 500KVA usually in an industrial set up, whereas a Home UPS runs loads up to 5KVA only.
Our Heavy-Duty UPS are designed to provide longer backup times starting from 1 hour to 24 hours. This can be extended by using solar power as additional backup in conjunction with the battery bank.
The Heavy-Duty UPS can work smoothly for 50 years with very little maintenance.
The Generator on the other hand has a life span of only 10 years and requires regular maintenance on an average of 250Hrs-500Hrs because of its moving parts.
Unlike a Generator where an attendant is mandatory to be on duty but for our Heavy duty UPS we don’t recommend having any attendant. However, we offer training to the maintenance staff so that it’s easy for them to maintain without attending the Heavy duty UPS on a continuous basis.
Not at all. Generators are notorious for being noisy and causing a lot of pollution due to diesel usage, however our Heavy-Duty UPS works on batteries and has smooth noiseless operation and is completely pollution free.
Yes, it is compatible with generators. It can be used with the Generator in several ways.
Storing fuel for Generators in commercial premises can be hazardous, as it can lead to fire in the premises, especially if the safety precautions taken are not adequate.
The Heavy-Duty UPS is safe and does not have any fire risk as it runs on batteries along with the electronic and electrical equipment.
The initial investment on machinery for both Heavy Duty UPS and Generator is almost same, however there is a significant difference in running cost, maintenance cost & effort.

Infrastructure required depends on the type of battery being used and capacity. Smaller backup load requirements will require smaller spaces. spaces.
The optimum temperature for all batteries is 40°C to 50°C. However, they can also withstand temperatures ranging from -10°C to 50°C.
The Heavy Duty UPS is designed to require little to no maintenance. However, at Su-vastika, we provide services to keep your products in top-notch condition: An AMC contract to service your UPS every 3 months, and battery upkeep is done regularly depending on the type of battery bank used. Our systems come with an online monitoring feature (Optional), and GSM and WIFI compatible applications that monitor the UPS and battery life. In case of any issues, alerts will be sent automatically, and the stored data can be checked on the display of the UPS. Yes. Absolutely. Our Heavy-Duty UPS will not just keep your sensitive appliances safe, but it will actively protect them as well. We have developed technologies like Soft Start System and Automatic Voltage Regulation specifically keeping your needs in mind.
Soft Start System: Unlike traditional inverters, that allow a sudden inrush of current, which can be harmful to your machinery, our Heavy-Duty UPS gives power when the appliances are started for the first time. It gives voltage gradually so that your sensitive devices don’t get any jerk voltage or spikes. Switching time is so quick that the equipment will not stop if the mains power is disconnected. The soft start system increases and maintains the life of the appliances.
Automatic Voltage Regulation: Voltage fluctuations are common occurrences. Whenever there is Low Supply voltage or High Supply voltage, and supply rises or drops below the Safe voltage range, our Heavy Duty UPS seamlessly switches to the battery power, keeping all your machinery and equipment safe. Moreover, the power quality produced in Battery Mode is better than the power quality provided by the electricity distribution companies or by the government as our Heavy Duty UPS provides Pure Sine Wave output having THD ≤5% which is a far better quality power compare to generators.
No, everything is automatic, designed at your ease and convenience in mind. Whether the power fails, voltage falls below the safety limit or voltage increases beyond safety limits, the Heavy Duty UPS works automatically without any manual intervention.
No, we have ensured that our Cold Start technology, can start the Heavy-Duty UPS in battery mode.
Product differentiation is based on the amount of load the product is equipped to handle along with the backup time requirements. Model size and battery capacity is calculated by our experts based on customer requirements.
For example: A Lithium Battery Bank can be recommended to a customer who wants to save space and need fast charging. Experts from Su-vastika will recommend the right product for you depending on your power backup requirement.
Technical glitches are not likely to occur, however, we are prepared for all types of situations. In case a glitch does happen:
Yes absolutely. Our built-in Galvanic Isolation System protect against electric shock and suppresses any harmful electrical noise. Our UPS system also provides better power quality than what is received from the mains supply.
The Heavy-Duty UPS has a high Crest Factor of 3:1, which means that it can take almost 3 times the more load for the High inrush current required by some heavy machinery or motors that take very high surge current when they are starting for the first time
The largest UPS we have is a single Heavy-Duty UPS of 500 KVA. This can be further augmented depending upon the individual requirements. It can easily run 1MW load if 2 units are installed on site. Distributing the load to multiple UPS systems, we can ensure that the UPS generates required output voltage effectively and all your devices keep running in the event of a power failure.
Yes. Our Heavy-Duty UPS systems have Wi-Fi and GSM connectivity (Optional). Our application will monitor your UPS and send regular reports to Su-vastika technicians. In case of any issues, an automatic alert will be sent, and a service call will be made.
Our Heavy-Duty UPS comes with 4 types of batteries which can be selected depending on your load, back up time as well as battery life.
Yes, our Heavy-Duty UPS is designed to control charging, types and sizes of batteries depending upon load & backup requirement of the user.
Different types of battery banks need different types of charging controls. Our Heavy-Duty UPS has advanced software and inbuilt algorithms that can set the charging current, and other parameters required by a particular battery bank type.
We can install batteries of any size depending on your load and backup requirements. Our experts at Su-vastika will recommend the right size for you
For the Lithium battery bank we need to set the charging as well as temperature based charging control so that we can save the battery from any wear and tear and maximum life can be gained from the battery bank.
There are 2 primary factors that determine backup time: total load of the machines that require backup, and duration of the backup, or in other words- number of batteries to be installed.
To increase backup time:
Battery life depends on its usage. In practical terms, the power failure in a particular area will define the battery life of the system. Depending on the battery type, if the power failure happens occasionally and the duration is also very less then:
Lithium can last for more than 10 years..
Other battery systems, if properly maintained, can last up to 5 years.
Our Heavy-Duty UPS is also equipped to prolong battery life and manage battery health:
Su-vastika will always provide you with information about battery upkeep and battery life, which other companies will not be able to.
Our Online monitoring System will keep a track of the Battery Bank usage and send an alert when the replacement of the battery bank is required.
No. It is not necessary to replace the batteries with the same brand. However, the entire battery bank will be replaced together when required. The BMS can also be used along with the VRLA and Tubular battery bank to enhance battery life.
Battery Management System is an advanced system that monitors and maintains battery health, making intelligent adjustments to enhance battery life
In case of Lead acid tubular batteries or VRLA, ATC technology helps to keep the batteries healthy and safe resulting in optimum backup and increased battery life.
For short power outages batteries do not get discharged very quickly and will recharge extremely fast as well..
For power outages longer than 3 hours battery charging times depend on the battery type:
Battery charging will depend on the size of the solar panels installed and the size of the solar charge controller. In this case the Heavy-Duty behaves like an Off Grid Solar UPS and it can cut off the mains supply and run completely on solar and batteries. This
