On-grid or grid-tie solar inverters are the most common and widely used for homes and commercial purposes. These inverters do not require batteries, use solar inverters, and are connected to the electricity grid. Any excess solar power generated is exported to the electricity grid, and owners get paid a feed-in-tariff (FiT) or credits for the energy they export.
But there is a challenge, On-grid solar inverters or Grid Tied Inverters cannot work or generate electricity during a blackout due to safety reasons. Since blackouts usually occur when the power grid malfunctions. If the solar inverter were still feeding electricity into a damaged grid, it would risk the safety of the people repairing the fault/s in the network. It also stops working during voltage fluctuation. In both cases, there will be a waste of Solar Energy.https://suvastika.com/hybrid-solar-inverters-can-you-combine-off-grid-and-on-grid-solar-inverters-an-indian-start-up-shows-how/
Off-grid Inverter
Off-grid inverters are not connected to the power grid, so they require batteries for power storage. Off-grid solar systems must be designed to generate enough power throughout the year and have enough battery capacity to meet the home’s requirements, even in winters and monsoons when there is less sunlight.
The high cost of batteries and off-grid inverters means off-grid systems are much more expensive compared to on-grid systems, and so are usually only needed in places which are in remote areas and are far from power grid like vacation homes, resorts, farmhouses etc.
A hybrid solar system has the best of both On-grid and off-grid. It combines solar and battery storage in one and is now available in many different sizes and configurations. Due to the decreasing cost of battery storage, systems already connected to the power grid can also take advantage of battery storage. This means storing solar energy generated during the day and at night. When the stored energy is less, the grid is a backup, allowing consumers the best of both worlds.
Hybrid Solar Inverter allows full control over your power while keeping you grid-connected in an emergency. Hybrid Solar systems generate power similar to a normal grid-tie solar system but use special hybrid inverters and batteries to store power for later use. This quality of storing energy enables most hybrid systems to operate as a backup power supply during a power outage like UPS.
Suppose there is a power failure, or the grid becomes unstable. In that case, the unit will immediately switch to the battery supply and operate independently from the electricity grid.
Many governments and network operators have reduced the solar feed-in tariff or FiT. This means traditional grid-tied systems have become less attractive as most people are working during the day and not at home to use the solar energy as it is generated. Thus the power is fed into the grid for very little return.

A solar hybrid system stores excess solar energy and can provide backup power during a power outage. This is perfect for domestic use, farmhouses, resorts, vacation homes etc.
Hybrid Solar Systems enable you to store and use solar energy when you face an electricity cut.
The ability to store and use your solar energy when desired is called self-use or self-consumption. It works like an off-grid power system, but the battery capacity required is far less, usually just enough to cover peak consumption (8 hours or less) instead of 3-5 days with a typical off-grid system.
Key benefits of hybrid systems
Hybrid inverters have many advantages – here are some of the top ones to consider:
Flexibility
A common misbelief about solar is that if you install a Grid Tied inverter, you’ll always have power during outages. In most cases, this is not true. Traditional GTI systems automatically shut off during power failure for safety purposes, cutting off power generation from your solar panel system.
If you want to keep your home or commercial establishment running on backup solar power during a grid failure, a hybrid solar system paired with batteries is the perfect solution. Some hybrid inverters have both on-grid and off-grid capabilities, allowing you to continue running on solar power even if the grid fails.
Easy Monitoring
A hybrid solar inverter converts all your solar electricity–whether sent to the grid, self-consumed on your property, or stored in your battery–through one component. This allows for “centralized monitoring,” which means you can monitor your solar panel system and battery performance through one platform.
Easier installation process
One of the biggest benefits of a hybrid solar inverter is that it combines the functionality of two separate pieces of equipment into one. This means an easier installation process for your solar installer. Depending on the prices of the individual components and the labour cost, you may save money by installing a hybrid inverter from the get-go instead of paying for both a solar inverter and a battery-specific inverter separately.
Future-ready (Add- On is possible)
A hybrid system is possibly the most expandable, future-ready home solar setup. With some customizable hybrid systems, you can expand capacity by buying more panels or batteries. Hybrid systems may also be compatible with newer solar technologies — for example, an electric vehicle (EV) might function as one of the ‘batteries’ in a hybrid setup.
Latest Technology
While Off Grid is an obsolete technology, Hybrid Solar System is the latest, most cost-effective and more useful.

This data can be used to optimize your system’s performance and troubleshoot any problems.
Generally, the specific gravity of liquids increases with decreasing temperature, which means as temperature decreases, the liquid contracts, making it denser. Similarly, the viscosity of a liquid also increases with decreasing temperature.
The specific gravity of the electrolyte in a lead-acid battery decreases with rising temperature due to the decrease in density of the electrolyte as it expands with heat.

Digital warranty can be monitored through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi-based mobile applications or the direct PC, which is loaded with our patented software.
A lot of settable parameters, and it’s two-way communication.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi have many major advantages; let us discuss them in detail. The monitoring of parameters like Voltage and frequency while the Inverter/UPS is working on the Mains Power. In case of low or high Voltage, one can have the data recorded for the high and low voltages.
If a very low or high voltage occurs, it switches to the battery mode, also seen on the screen with the warning and audio signal. The charging percentage of the battery can be seen, and it even creates data which can be stored for how much time takes to charge the battery.
The battery charged status one can see. The power used to charge the battery can be seen on the screen, and the total energy used can be calculated through the system to know how much the power bill has increased for charging the battery, which is impossible in the common Inverter/UPS/ Energy Storage system. In case of Overload happening on the Mains mode or a short circuit occurs while the Mains power is coming, that also is shown on the screen, and an alert is created for MCB down. All the alerts are kept in memory for future analytics for the service engineer to do analytics about the power usage profile of the customer.
Since this is two-way communication in our Inverter/UPS, we have a lot of settings in the Mains mode, especially in our Pure Sinewave with ATC model Users can select the charging profile according to the size of the battery one can choose smaller to the bigger battery. Also, the user can select the type of battery, like Tubular SMF or Lithium battery, shown on the Mains screen. Users can choose the voltage range they want their Inverter/UPS to work. Our Pure Sinewave model with ATC has the feature of selecting Wide UPS and UPS mode, which has the voltage range selection of 90-280V and 180-265 Volts for using different kind of load conditions so that if the user want to run computers and IT loads he can choose the mode 180-26V which keeps the IT load safe and the switching is also high-speed to not to have any break in power outages and the load keep working smoothly. This is UPS mode.
The other mode is Wide UPS mode which a user staying in low voltage areas can use for running the load even if the Voltage is very low, like 90 Volts, so that battery is not used as these areas also have a lot of power cuts. ATC Automatic Temperature Compensation can be seen on the screen when the temperature changes, which gives the user the advantage of ATC one can see on the net that the temperature increases, the boost voltage decreases, and the temperature reduction will increase the boost voltage so that user understands that the Boost voltage increase means it will take more time to charge in the winters and will give you proper back up in winters compare to other competitive product range where the backup time reduces in winters as they don’t have ATC called Automatic temperature compensation feature available with them which is a must for Tubular and SMF battery back up time and reduces the water topping in the tubular battery minimum 30%.
When switched on to the battery mode, many parameters of battery mode can be seen.
Like Load percentage, which helps the user know how much more load he can use or reduce the load if it’s above 100%. Battery voltage gives the user an idea of how much time it can work as it keeps reducing over some time in the battery mode. Front Switch, which can be used as an on/off switch as well as reset switch The Overload with the audio warning This feature helps the user to reduce the load as this warning is repeated at least four times where the user gets enough time to reduce the load rather than shutting the UPS in the first warning, which is the case with other competitive products available in the market. Short ckt warning and Sort Circuit Shut down are essential features that can be controlled through the mobile phone application rather than going near the UPS. This gives the warning along with the audio alert, and the user can reset the UPS by resetting through the mobile application itself. Low battery warning & Low Battery Shut down is also an important feature which can be seen on the mobile app. One can see the battery low happening and can use the battery reserve feature to get more backup time even if the battery is low has happened. https://suvastika.com/what-are-the-benefits-of-bluetooth-inverter-ups/ The settings’ battery type selection feature allows the user to use this feature to select different types of batteries at the kind of installation of UPS. One can install Tubular, SMF or lithium battery by selecting through the selection button, and the front screen changes the image of the battery so that the user is sure which battery he has used. This automatically adjusts the charging profile of the battery depending on the battery type selection. This is a great feature for users to select a battery according to their budget or choice.
The Battery Size Selection settings parameter is also a unique feature which the user can use to select the battery size while installing the Pure Sinewave UPS. This feature allows the user to choose the smaller battery in case he requires less backup time or can install a bigger battery in case his requirement is for a longer backup time. In the case of installing the Lithium battery, the same feature can be used to charge the lithium battery with a small or fast charger. Battery Reserve or Low Voltage Disconnect for battery setting is an essential feature in this Pure Sinewave UPS with ATC which helps the user set the Low battery voltage to 4 conditions, reserving the battery capacity accordingly. If the user selects the 10% reserve, then the user can use this much backup in case of emergency. The reserve backup feature also increases the battery life because the user can reduce and increase the battery’s DOD through the mobile application settings.
