Uninterrupted Power: The Success Story of Vadodra Bunglow’s Energy Storage

Discover the Success Story of Vadodra Bunglow’s Energy Storage

Mr. Nikhil Patel has the bungalow No.6 Nilamber 1, Vasna Road Vadodra-390015. Gujrat has shifted from a Diesel Generator to a Lithium Energy Storage System of 30 KVA. His house has a Centralized Air Conditioning system, lifts, fridges, TVs, microwave ovens, washing machines, water motors, etc. The whole bungalow is running on the 30 KVA 3-Phase Energy Storage System. After installing the system, Mr. Patel realized that there was no power cut happening in his area as the battery ESS gave uninterrupted power, and he did not come to know of power cuts at all. His Air conditioning system based on VRV technology used to take more than 10 minutes to switch on the chilling in the Air conditioning system which was a significant waste of power and inconvenience caused and switching on and off the TVs in the home and lights and other sensitive equipment used to be switched off for more than 5 minutes as someone was to go and switch on the Generator.

The major challenge was to get the diesel from the petrol pump and store it in the house. One man used to do generator maintenance most of the time, as it required a lot of attention.

Advantages of Energy Storage Systems over Diesel Generators

  • Cleaner Energy: Su-vastika Energy storage systems use a Pure Sinewave waveform, which is better than the Grid waveform and keeps appliances safe.
  • Quieter and Pollution Free: Generators can be incredibly noisy, while energy storage systems operate silently. there is no pollution created in the environment which is a global concern now a days.
  • Lower long-term costs: While the initial investment for an energy storage system might be higher, it often has lower maintenance costs and doesn’t require fuel, potentially saving money in the long run.
  • Grid Integration: Energy storage systems can be integrated with the power grid, potentially allowing the utility company to sell excess energy back to it.
  • IOT-based Monitoring System: The Su-vastika has a Wi-Fi monitoring system that monitors all the important parameters of the Energy Storage System. Customers can check the logs of Load and power cuts, etc.
  • Uninterrupted Power: In case of power failure, the user is not able to get the feel and one enjoys the continuous power supply and which keeps the sensitive appliances maintenance free from any breakage etc.
  • Resilience: A well-designed energy storage system can provide backup power during outages, ensuring essential appliances and systems function.

Considerations

  • Cost: Energy storage systems can be expensive to install initially. It’s important to factor in long-term savings and potential incentives.
  • Capacity: The size of the energy storage system needs to be carefully matched to the home’s energy needs to ensure adequate backup power.
  • Solar Integration: If the home has solar panels, an energy storage system can significantly increase the utilization of self-generated clean energy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battery_storage_power_station
